Welcome to the website for “A Weekend of Encouragement!”, a Christian Marriage Retreat held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in late January and early February of each year.

Feel free to look around the site to get the information you need to join us Feb. 3 – 4, 2023 at The Breakers Hotel in the heart of Myrtle Beach, located at 2104 North Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach. It’s a great location with a rooftop, oceanfront ballroom that we’ll be meeting in for the retreat. To make a reservation at The Breakers, call 866-947-8239 and tell them that the Group ID is “Marriage 2023” to get the discounted rate of $77. per night (+ taxes and fees). Our guest speaker for 2023, back for his second year, is Dr. Bob Weathers. Bob is the pastor of First Baptist Church in Shallotte, N.C. He is also a professor at Liberty University. Bob is a published author and columnist. You can check out his latest blog at bobweathers.net

“A Weekend of Encouragement” is a regional Christian Marriage Retreat sponsored by churches in North and South Carolina. It is underwritten by the S. C. Baptist Convention, the S. C. Baptist Foundation, The Pee Dee Baptist Association, Latta Baptist Church as well as various other churches and individuals.
