Join us in 2021!

A Weekend of Encouragement Marriage Retreat on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 at 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Myrtle Beach, SC. Registration will begin at 6 p.m. and we’ll have some goodie bags to hand out to each participant as well as some hot coffee available.

It is not required that you stay at the hotel to participate in the conference, however it is recommended in order for you and your spouse to ‘get away’ and spend some time together.

On Saturday morning, we’ll begin with a Continental Breakfast in our meeting room at 8 a.m. and the first session will begin at 9 a.m. If you’d prefer a full breakfast, the hotel has an awesome breakfast buffet available!

We’ll break for lunch around 11:30 and resume at 1:30 p.m. for our final session. Saturday afternoon and night is for you to re-connect with your spouse and spend some time communicating about what you may have learned during the weekend. On Sunday morning, we will not have any programming. If you need to return home, feel free to do so. If you are staying over, you’re invited to join Dr. Blackaby at Living Water Baptist Church on Hwy. 9 in Longs, S.C. near the intersection of Hwy. 31 and Hwy. 9 in North Myrtle Beach.

This weekend is very casual and is meant to be a special time for you and your spouse. I hope you’ll join us!

The Journey Begins

Thanks for visiting our new website. “A Weekend of Encouragement!” is a Christian Marriage Retreat for every married couple.

This year’s retreat will be led by Dr. Richard Blackaby. Richard is the president of Blackaby Ministries and you can check them out at blackaby.org. Due to the response from last year’s retreat, we’ve invited Richard to join us again and he has agreed to do so, with new material of course!

Blackaby Ministries is best known for their many books on spiritual growth, including “Experiencing God” and “Experiencing God for Couples”.

It’s going to be a great weekend on Jan. 29 -31, 2021. It will be very relaxed and we’ll stay in a large group setting so you won’t be asked to split up into small groups with folks you’ve never met. Make plans now to join us for an awesome weekend together.
