Welcome to the website for “A Weekend of Encouragement!”, a Christian Marriage Retreat held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in late January and early February of each year.

Feel free to look around the site to get the information you need to join us on Friday January 31 – Saturday, February 1, 2025, at The DoubleTree Resort by Hilton in Myrtle Beach, located at 3200 South Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach. It’s a great location with a rooftop, oceanfront ballroom, The Springs Ballroom, that we’ll be meeting in for the retreat. To make a reservation at The DoubleTree Resort, call them at 843-315-7100 and tell them that you are with “A Weekend of Encouragement!” Marriage Retreat to get the special rate of $119.00 per night plus tax and fees.

Our guest speakers for 2025 will be Benjamin Hutson and Stephen Vipperman. They are two pastors who came together to write a book titled “Biblical Marriage”. Benjamin serves as the pastor of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Nichols, SC and Stephen is the pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Horry County. Benjamin is married to Lauren and they have 3 girls. Stephen is married to Mandy and they have a boy and a girl. Both of these men serve their local church and desire to make a difference in marriages. Each couple registered will receive a copy of the book “Biblical Marriage”.

“A Weekend of Encouragement” is a regional Christian Marriage Retreat sponsored by churches in North and South Carolina. It is underwritten by the S. C. Baptist Convention, the S. C. Baptist Foundation, The Pee Dee Baptist Association, Latta Baptist Church as well as various other churches and individuals.
